Travels with Kenzie - April Newsletter

Hey friends!

I can’t believe it’s already April. March felt like a whirlwind in the best way, and it honestly flew by.

I kicked things off at tennis sectionals in Indianapolis, which was such a fun time. Then Andrew and I headed to Vegas for a long weekend with friends.

This was my fifth time in Vegas, but somehow my first time checking out Fremont Street, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Between that and walking miles on the Strip, it was full-on Viva Las Vegas energy the entire time.

Destination Spotlight: Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

We stayed at the Cosmopolitan right on the Strip, and I loved it. It’s one of those places that feels equal parts fun and trendy.

It has amazing balcony views overlooking the Bellagio fountains - It’s such a cool perspective you don’t get at most Vegas hotels.

I put together a quick video with eight things to check out at the Cosmo, so you can see if it’s worth it for your next trip:

In my opinion, it’s a great pick if you want to stay somewhere central without overcomplicating your trip.

Travel Tip: Use Private Browsing When Searching Flights

If you’ve ever searched for a flight, gone back later, and suddenly the price jumped… you’re not imagining it.

Pro tip: always search flights in private or incognito mode.

Airlines and booking sites can track your searches using cookies, and sometimes prices increase based on demand or repeated searches.

Here’s what I do:

  • Open a private browsing window
  • Search flights there every time
  • Avoid clicking the same route over and over in a regular browser

It’s a super simple habit, but it can save you money, especially if you’re planning trips six to 12 months out.

Where in the World is Kenzie Headed Next?

Next up is a big one, and I’m so excited.

We’re heading on a Caribbean cruise with my whole family, which is always such a fun way to travel together. Before we set sail, we’re doing a pit stop at Disney World, which I haven’t done in a while, so I’m really looking forward to that.

We’ll be sailing on Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas, and I already know it’s going to be such a fun experience.

If you’ve been on a Caribbean cruise or have any Disney tips, send them my way. I’m always here for a good recommendation.

Travel Product of the Month: Dry Bag

If you’re heading anywhere with water this year, this is one of those things you don’t realize you need until you really need it.

A dry bag keeps your stuff safe from water, sand, and unexpected weather. Think boat days, kayaking, beach trips, or even rainy hikes.

I am most definitely bringing mine on the cruise. It’s lightweight, easy to pack, and gives you peace of mind so you’re not stressing about your phone or camera getting ruined.

Definitely worth the trip if you’ve got any water adventures coming up.

Hi friends! I feel like September came and went in about five minutes. I’ve been trying to squeeze in the last few rounds of golf before Wisconsin decides it’s officially winter, while also fully embracing everything I love about fall. The cooler mornings, changing leaves, football weekends, and excuse to spend more time outside make this one of my favorite times of year. I’ve also been spending a lot of time catching up on content from Norway and starting to think ahead to some of the trips...

Hello & Happy September! August was a pretty exciting month around here. We got back from an amazing 10-day trip to Norway, and overall, it was fabulous. We also somehow lucked out with the weather. Norway tends to get quite a bit of rain, but we had several beautiful, sunny days during our trip. I definitely wasn’t complaining! I’m working hard on my Norway vlog now, and I’m hoping to start sharing a lot more from the trip in upcoming newsletters. There’s plenty to come because Norway gave...

Hey friends! Can you believe it’s already August? I definitely can’t! This month, I’m looking back on our Disney trip from spring, getting ready for Norway, and sharing a few travel tips to make your next adventure a little easier. Destination Spotlight: Disney World We recently spent two days exploring three Disney World...
