Travels with Kenzie - October Newsletter

Hi friends!

I feel like September came and went in about five minutes. I’ve been trying to squeeze in the last few rounds of golf before Wisconsin decides it’s officially winter, while also fully embracing everything I love about fall.

The cooler mornings, changing leaves, football weekends, and excuse to spend more time outside make this one of my favorite times of year. I’ve also been spending a lot of time catching up on content from Norway and starting to think ahead to some of the trips I want to plan for next year.

Destination Spotlight: Norway's Western Fjords

I have sooo much footage from our Norway trip that I had no choice but to split it into two videos!

Part 1 takes you through our five nights exploring Norway’s western fjords, and this portion of the trip had some seriously incredible scenery. Think fjords, waterfalls, mountains, scenic drives, and some very memorable accommodations.

We even spent one night sleeping in a treehouse!

If Norway is on your bucket list, or you just want some travel inspiration, you can watch Part 1 of my Norway adventure here

Travel Tip: U.S. Passports Are Getting Easier to Apply For

Passport applications are expected to get much easier over the next couple of years.

By the end of 2027, the goal is for most Americans to be able to apply for a passport online through America.gov. That would mean uploading your own passport photo from your phone or computer, paying online, and tracking your application without printing forms, getting a 2x2 photo taken at a store, or making an in-person appointment. (About time, right?!)

Then in 2028, a newly redesigned U.S. passport is expected to roll out with an updated look and new design features. Existing passports will still be valid until their normal expiration date.

Pro tip: Always check your destination’s passport validity rules before booking. Some countries require your passport to be valid for three to six months beyond your travel dates.

Where in the World is Kenzie Headed Next?

This month, I’m keeping things a little closer to home and soaking up fall in Wisconsin.

Northeast Wisconsin has some beautiful places to see the leaves change, and you definitely don’t need to travel far to have an adventure this time of year.

I put together some of my favorite places to see fall colors in Northeast Wisconsin, whether you’re looking for a scenic drive, hiking trail, or an easy fall day trip.

Check out my favorite fall color spots here

And if you have a favorite Wisconsin fall spot that I’m missing, reply and tell me! I’m always looking for another excuse to go exploring.

Travel Product of the Month: Jewelry Travel Organizer

If you’ve ever arrived somewhere only to find all of your necklaces tangled together into one giant knot, this one is for you.

I love using a compact jewelry organizer when I travel because it keeps necklaces separated and gives earrings, rings, and bracelets their own little spaces without taking up much room in my suitcase.

It’s one of those simple travel accessories that makes packing and getting ready on a trip so much easier.

You can check out the jewelry organizer I recommend here
