Travels with Kenzie - August Newsletter

Hey friends!

Can you believe it’s already August? I definitely can’t!

This time of year always feels like the perfect mix of soaking up the last bit of summer and starting to get excited for football, cooler weather, and all things fall.

This month, I’m looking back on our Disney trip from spring, getting ready for Norway, and sharing a few travel tips to make your next adventure a little easier.

Destination Spotlight: Disney World

We recently spent two days exploring three Disney World parks: Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.

It was a busy itinerary, but we made the most of our time by using Lightning Lanes. In my opinion, having a plan makes a huge difference when you’re trying to fit several parks into a short trip.

You’ll want to watch our two-day Disney World video to see how we organized our days, which parks we visited, and how much we managed to experience.

Travel Tip: Make Copies of Important Documents

Pro tip: Before your trip, take photos or make copies of your passport, ID, travel insurance information, and important reservations.

A passport copy won’t replace the original, but it can make a stressful situation much easier. If your passport is lost or stolen, you’ll have the passport number and personal details you may need when filing a report or applying for an emergency replacement.

Save a digital copy somewhere secure, and keep a paper copy separate from the originals. It only takes a few minutes and could save you a major headache while you’re far from home.

Where in the World is Kenzie Headed Next?

We’re heading to Norway!

I’m so excited to see the fjords and explore the Lofoten Islands. The scenery looks absolutely incredible, and I already know my camera roll is going to be slightly out of control.

Have you been to Norway? Hit reply and send me your favorite places, local recommendations, or anything we shouldn’t miss. I’d love to hear your advice before we go.

Travel Product of the Month: Vacuum Sealer

I haven’t tried a travel vacuum sealer yet, but I keep seeing them everywhere.

I love the idea of keeping clothes organized while creating more room in a suitcase. My usual problem is luggage weight rather than space, so I’m still deciding whether this would help me personally.

However, if you’re a carry-on traveler who wants to pack more into a smaller bag, this could be worth adding to your travel setup.

Hi friends! I feel like September came and went in about five minutes. I’ve been trying to squeeze in the last few rounds of golf before Wisconsin decides it’s officially winter, while also fully embracing everything I love about fall. The cooler mornings, changing leaves, football weekends, and excuse to spend more time outside make this one of my favorite times of year. I’ve also been spending a lot of time catching up on content from Norway and starting to think ahead to some of the trips...

Hello & Happy September! August was a pretty exciting month around here. We got back from an amazing 10-day trip to Norway, and overall, it was fabulous. We also somehow lucked out with the weather. Norway tends to get quite a bit of rain, but we had several beautiful, sunny days during our trip. I definitely wasn’t complaining! I’m working hard on my Norway vlog now, and I’m hoping to start sharing a lot more from the trip in upcoming newsletters. There’s plenty to come because Norway gave...
